The Royal Enfield motorcycles are a fascinating mix of traditional values and modern engineering. Like all other bikes today, the Royal Enfields are equipped with high tech fuel injection instead of carburettors. Unfortunately this means that they are running leaner than desired from the factory, and the lean mixture means that the engine is running hot and have certain low speed rideability issues. When the air/fuel ratio is leaner than desired, the engine lacks low speed power, is easy to stall on take off, and the throttle action is hard and on/off like which makes the bike less than perfect to ride. And to make things even worse, the lean mixture means that the engine temperature goes up - not exactly what you need in an air cooled engine. The BoosterPlug is a proven and tested solution to the typical lean running issues that haunts all modern fuel injected motorcycles.
Compared to the Power Commander, the BoosterPlug offers similar or better results for must owners - at a much lower price and without the complicated setup.
You don't have to be a trained engineer or a computer programmer to install the BoosterPlug. Easy and fast plug and play installation.
Inexpensive, easy installation, proven results:
- Soft and precise throttle control
- Faster acceleration
- The end of the dreaded low speed surging
- Stronger idle and less tendency to stall
- Far less popping in the exhaust on deceleration
We have seen that Royal Enfield are selling the 500 Bullet with an older generation fuel injection system in some countries outside Europe. The older fuel injection system have no AIT sensor so you can not use the BoosterPlug on these bikes. Please download the installation instructions and check if your bike have an AIT sensor on the inner side of the air filter box - before making a purchase.
